The Slime Spectacular!
It was ooey, gooey and so much fun!
Our fundraising event for 2021 was a HUGE success! The weather was perfect as the sun shone done and the kids came out to run around our obstacle course. Each class participated on the day, with students wearing old clothes, bright headbands and sunglasses to join in on the fun.
The incentive to slime our Principal Mr Iannunzio proved to be a big hit as children raised funds and watched the leaderboard online over the weeks leading to the big day. Our Top 10 fundraisers were presented with their slime blasters and 'VIP access' wristbands to spray the slime at lunchtime.
Fundraising events have been difficult in the past few years as we've navigated social distancing guidelines for large gatherings. Our wonderful school community has supported us on every occasion where we have been able to get together, have some fun and raise funds for our school. For the past few years our Fundraising Committee with the support of Governing Council has been raising funds to replace our outdated school sign with a new electronic school sign. Being a significant investment this has meant that fundraising over the past few years has all been going towards this. With our highly successful Slime Spectacular this year raising $11,792.48 we have now reached our goal! We cannot thank our school community enough for their generous donations over the past few years and we look forward to working through the process to design and install our new school sign.
The Fundraising Committee thanks all those who volunteered to ensure that the students had a great day. These large, whole school events cannot run without the dedication and support of our Fundraising Committee and parent volunteers. If you think you can contribute some time and energy to our Fundraising Committee in 2022, please contact the school to express your interest.
