Ciao ragazzi e genitori,

We are looking forward to returning to school and seeing you all!

At the end of Term 3, Foundation students revised ‘colori’, ‘i numeri’ and ‘frutta’. Preps completed their “La frutta”, favourite fruit picture. This week Foundation students practiced ‘I numeri’. Fantastico Preps!

Years 1 and 2 participated in topics of greetings, ‘animali’, ‘colori’ and ‘numeri’. Students completed their “Il mio animale”, My animal pictures about their pets and favourite animal.  This week students revised greetings learning how to ask and reply to everyday conversation. Bravi 1 and 2s!

At the end of Term 3, Years 3 and 4 participated in greetings and introductions about themselves and their family. They described physical characteristics, interests and preferences. This week’s topic was ‘passatempi’, pastimes and hobbies. Students familiarised themselves with describing hobbies and interests. Eccellente 3 and 4s!

Year 5 and 6 have revised ‘i mesi del’anno’, The months of the year, seasons and days of the week. Year 5s have been researching the origins of the names of the months of the year and writing them in Italian. Students participated in ‘Presentiamoci’ Let’s introduce ourselves in describing physical characteristics, hobbies and interests. Ben fatto 5 and 6s!

Part of learning a language is reflecting and comparing cultural practices. Students participated in pizza making, drawings and crafts during remote learning.  They made pizza and families helped cook delicious pizza! Grazie alle famiglie!
