Grade 5 / 6 Persuasive Speech

Throughout term 3, the grade 5/6 students worked hard to develop a persuasive speech on the topic “Every Ending is a New Beginning”. Grade 6 students were also given the opportunity to nominate themselves to present their speech and compete at the Northcote High School public speaking competition. It was incredibly difficult to choose the two finalists from Northcote Primary School. After much deliberation, it was decided that Kate M and Tatjana G would represent our school. 

The competition took place on Wednesday, the 13th of October.

Despite their initial nerves and the challenge of participating in an online event, Kate and Tatjana presented their speeches clearly and confidently. We are all incredibly proud of them and hope that they continue to develop their public speaking and debating skills in their high school years
