Level 1/2

All students had a fantastic time at the colour run! It was great to see so many parents helping out and students participating. Many students also raised a lot of money and won prizes for their efforts. Don’t forget to bring in your money to the office, if you haven’t done so yet.
We also had a great time at the SEDA cricket inflatables incursions, to finish off and consolidate the cricket skills learnt earlier in the year. Students had a turn at batting, bowling, climbing and sliding on inflatable.
Thank you for all the lovely cards and thoughtful notes for World Teachers Day. It was lovely to see the students share things they enjoyed about their teachers in cards and drawings.
Last week students participated in Music: Count us in, which was done across the whole of Australia. Students had spent time learning the Auslan (Australian Sigh Language) signs to go with the lyrics and were very proud and enthusiastic performing this year’s song. Well done everyone!
Another congratulations to all the students who completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge. It was a super effort from many students to read the books required. We had most of the Level 1 and 2’s complete the challenge this year!
Last week we also had some fun on Melbourne Cup Monday. Some students made their own fascinators, while others made horse masks and competed in horse races. It was great to have some fun with students and talk about why we didn’t have to come to school on Tuesday.
Lastly, we would just like to remind you about the Level 1 and 2 excursion coming up. We are heading to the Melbourne Museum and IMAX theatre to consolidate our learning about mini-beasts this term. If you haven’t already, please login to Sentral to approve your child for the excursion. It should be a very fun and exciting day, and we are looking forward getting to the museum to see more mini-beasts in real life!
