Year 7 Camp

7A at Mirimbah

With an enthusiastic class of year 7's, we launched the Mirimbah Camp experience for 2019. 7A had a full compliment of students + Year 10 buddies as Day 1 was a mix of excitement, some afternoon drizzle, startled wildlife and restless students.

The bleary eyed bunch woke up Tuesday to four consecutive days of sunshine and perfect mid-high 20's country weather. The 15km hike down Mt.Buller along the Delatite River, a swim in the famous Mirimbah pool, fireplace games and a delicious canteen curry all filled a busy Tuesday schedule. The following days included several new swimming holes, a student talent show, horse-riding, tunnel walks, the Amazing Race on top of Buller, a movie night & some telepathic fame-games. The food was tasty, the swimming holes refreshing, the table-tennis competitive, the staff tired, the horses smelly and, most of all - the kids happy!

Thanks to all those staff who organised it, the Year 10 helpers, the Year 7's for their great energy and the parents for trusting us to look after their kids.
