Pathways & Careers at PHSC

Today’s students will need to adapt to multiple career transitions and a changing world of work throughout their life.   This is why PHSC aims to help its students engage in career development and provides a range of programs, resources and support to students.

One resource all students, parent/guardian(s) are encouraged to familiarise themselves with is the  PHSC Careers website  which contains comprehensive career related information.

Year 10 Work Experience

Held during the last week of Term 2 (24th – 28th June), work experience provides Year 10 students with the opportunity to:

  • develop their employability skills, e.g. communication, team work, interpersonal skills;
  • explore possible career options;
  • assist with their career planning and subject selection;
  • obtain a better understanding of the work environment and employer expectations; and
  • increase their self-understanding, independence and self-confidence.

Students are in the process of arranging their placements and if any parent/guardian(s) is willing to host a student in their workplace for the 5 days, please contact Maria Floudiotis, Career Practitioner,
