Term 3 2023 Key Dates

Senior School- Ski Camp

In 2023 we are offering senior school students a ski camp to Mt Buller.  There are still some spaces available. The camp will include return coach transport from Cranbourne East Secondary College to Mt Buller. Students will stay in lodge accommodation on the Mountain, including 3 days of lift passes and lessons as well as equipment hire each day. Breakfast and dinner will be provided when on the Mountain (students will have to purchase their own lunch each day)

The Date is Wednesday the 6th September- Friday 8th September 2023.

The cost of the trip is approximately $800 which covers the following:

• 2 nights accommodation
• Return Coach travel
• 2 breakfasts and dinners
• A lift pass and group lessons for the 3 days
• Ski equipment hire (snow board or skis) for the 3 days

(Students will have to bring their own ski clothing (there will be options to hire clothing at an additional cost). Students will also have to buy their own breakfast on day one and Dinner on day 3.

CASEY MENTOR BREAKFAST

On Friday we had 4 girls nominated to attend the Casey Mentor Breakfast- Wajiha, Jade, Jasmine S and Marraine. The breakfast allowed students from various schools to learn more about the different career pathways available. The event allowed the girls to talk to different mentors in the fields they are interested in and listen to a guest speaker Nicola Kropach about her business journey. 

Wajiha M was also awarded the 'Kay Rankin Inspirational Young Woman Award' for outstanding commitment to her education!

SENIOR SCHOOL MID- YEAR EXAMS

Well done to all students in Year 11 who completed their first VCE semester one Exams. It was great to see students working hard, putting in their best efforts and achieving some really high results. 

SEMESTER ONE AWARDS

On Tuesday 13th of June we had our celebration assembly for all the Year 11 students. Well done to all students who won subject awards for both excellence and effort.

YEAR 11 WELLBEING DAY

On Tuesday 13th June, Year 11 students attended Gravity Zone as an end of semester celebration and wellbeing day. Great to see the students enjoying themselves with a bit of bouncing and laser tag! 

Year 11 VCE-VM News

We celebrated our end of semester assembly that saw us highlight the excellence and effort of our students across each class, and in each subject. Our winners are highlighted below:

Year 11 Formal

Year 11 Formal will be going ahead in Term 3! The Year 11 Formal Committee worked hard to ensure that an event would run this year after missing out on the Year 10 Formal.

The event details are below:

• When? Thursday 14th September, 2023 – 7pm – 11pm
• Where? Amberlee Receptions – 1451 South Gippsland Highway, Cranbourne
• Cost? $85 – Each tickets include a 2 course meal, unlimited soft drink, photobooth, DJ, security, and the event space hire. 
• Who? Tickets are only available to students in Year 11 from CESC. No external guests allowed.  

Year 12 Wellbeing Day 

The year 12 cohort had a brilliant day out at Strike bowling in the city. They were able to celebrate their Unit 3 successes and spend time recharging with their friends. 

Semester 1 – Unit 3 Awards

Congratulations to the students who received awards in excellence and effort for Unit 3! 

Our year 12s have completed Unit 3! Congratulations on this accomplishment. 

This term has been very busy (filled with SACs and exams), but they got through it! Lots of handwork and perseverance was shown from our year 12s. 

I wish them all a well-deserved and restful break, to recharge and get ready to complete Unit 4!
