Class Captains Update
The Year 7 class captains have been working together this term to develop their skills as leaders in our College.
Through weekly meetings on Fridays at lunch, the students have come together to discuss ways they can make an impact, both in their classes, and around the College.
In addition, the leaders determined they would like to facilitate the first student led Year 7 assembly at the end of Term 2. This is a great opportunity to practice public speaking, presenting in front of a crowd and allowing their peers to get them to know them.
Learning 4 Success
On Friday the 9th of June, the Year 8 Cohort that has completed the Learning 4 Success Elective in Semester 1, had the opportunity to meet with three alumni of the Cranbourne East Secondary College Community.
The alumni spoke about their experiences at Cranbourne East Secondary College. They discussed the variety of pathways students will be able to access in their futures. They identified the importance of things not always coming easily but reinforced that the Careers Team at Cranbourne East Secondary College is second to none and have been able to assist them in achieving their goals.
Term 2 Positive Assemblies
Year Level Leaders and Student Captains hosted assemblies on the last day of term (Friday 23 June) to acknowledge the positive contributions and achievements of students. This includes:
Congratulations in advance to the students who are recognised. We are very proud of your effort, growth, achievement, and contributions and look forward to your continued successes in semester 2, along with recognising even more students.
100% Attendance Luncheon
We all know how important attendance at school is for learning. Year 7 & 8 students with perfect attendance for term 2 were rewarded with a celebratory lunch on the last day of term, organised by their leaders.
This is something planned for every term, so there is plenty of opportunity for students to strive towards improving attendance and obtaining an invite to this celebration in semester 2.
