It was fantastic to see such a large crowd at Open Day on Saturday, we were truly blessed with some fantastic weather, although we are in need of some rain (hopefully this week). Thanks to all the staff and students who help set up for Open Day the whole College looked fantastic.

Beef

This week Mr Sullivan and Mr Edwards commenced calf marking our Beef herd, enabling our Year 11 students to be assessed for ID and Mark Livestock.  A second assessment will be carried out towards the end of the term when Mr Adams commences lamb marking our cross bred lambs.

Pastures

Over the past few weeks Mr Falkingham and his pasture groups have been completing our pasture renovation program with paddocks on the flats and the hills by re-seeding for both hay or silage.

Horticulture

The harvesting of our Imperial mandarins has commenced this week with Mr Cruickshank and students picking fruit for the College kitchen, and will also be for sale each Friday afternoon for parents to purchase.  $5 per 1.5kg bags.
