Winter School Sports - Year 5 and 6

On Thursday 4th May, the Year 5/6 students participated in the Winter Interschool Sports round. The different sports played were, Football, Soccer, Tee Ball and Netball. Each team competed in a series of games where they played against a range of other schools, including Mooroolbark East PS, Birmingham PS, Billanook PS, Edinburgh College and St Peter Julian Eymard PS.

Leading up to the day, students nominated two sports of their choice. During their allocated sport session on Thursday afternoons, students spent a few weeks learning how to play the sports and all the different rules.

The Football and Netball teams ventured off to Pinks Reserve, while both the Tee Ball and Soccer Teams went to the Mooroolbark Soccer club to get in on the action. 

It was very exciting to watch the students in the mixed Netball team come away with the first-place win, congratulations to all of those students who played great courage and determination.
