School Photo Day -         DATE CHANGED

We would like to inform families, that due to unforeseen circumstances, the date for School Photo day has been moved until later in the school year.

School Photo Day will now be held on Tuesday, July 28. Please mark this date in your diaries.

After School Hours Care

We are excited to announce that we will be commencing an After School Program at BHCS for children from 4 year old Kinder to Year 6, on Monday 18th May, 2015. The program will run after school every day, until 6pm.

The service will be run by Camp Australia and held in the M Block in the secondary area of the school (the 2 classrooms directly opposite the turf courts). These 2 rooms open up into 1 large space with adjoining toilets and kitchen. Enrolled children will be collected from their classrooms and taken to the centre where there will be activities including crafts & sports and they will be provided with afternoon snacks.

The cost of the program for enrolled students will be $22 per day, with a 50% Government subsidy to all families, making the out of pocket cost $11 per day. There are further subsidies available to families which are means tested. If you are eligible, the cost could be as low as $8 per day. Casual use is also available for $27 per day, (less the 50% Government subsidy).

To enrol your children for After School Care, go to the Camp Australia website at www.campaustralia.com.au. Please see the attached flyer for more information (note that the cost quoted on the flyer is the casual rate. The cost for an enrolled child will be $22 per day as mentioned above).

We strongly encourage all families with children from 4 year old Kinder to Year 6, to enrol with Camp Australia even if you are not intending to use the program on a regular basis. This will mean that in the event that you are unable to collect your child from School due to an emergency etc, Camp Australia will already have your details.  There is no cost to enrol. You will only be charged once you commence using the service.

If you have any queries, please contact myself or Camp Australia.

CSSN Theatre Sports Competition

On Tuesday, 21st April, nine students from Years 8 and 9 represented BHCS in the CSSN Theatre Sports competition. It was a great day full of fun, improvisation, drama and healthy competition. Taylah D, Jeremy W, David G and Lily J represented BHCS in the Senior division and Liam M, Olivia W, Mary B, Lilly M and Keely C made up the Junior team.

Both teams were excellent on the day and showed great team spirit. The Senior team finished fourth in their division while the Junior team finished second - they will take part in the finals next month.

Thank you to the students for their hard work and commitment in the weeks leading up to the event and the day itself. Stay tuned for the final results next month!
