MPS - Human Powered Racing
For anyone who is unaware, this year MPS have signed up to the Energy Breakthrough challenge. This is an extracurricular activity that our Year 5 & 6 students are able to partake in.
You may have already seen our HPR students taking part in after school training sessions each Thursday. To date, this has involved building up their general fitness for the race along with team meetings about how we can engage in local sponsorships.
We are very excited to announce that we have picked up our trike and are now ready to incorporate this into our training sessions, so keep a look out each Thursday after school.
This Friday at assembly, we will unveil the new trike to the school along with some students presenting our journey to date. The plan will be to involve all of the students in the designing and naming of the trike, so watch this space for more updates.
As mentioned in previous newsletters, a big part of beginning our journey as a Human Powered Racing Team is creating a connection to local businesses. This allows us to help promote our local businesses whilst also raise valuable funds to help secure our Human Powered Vehicle along with other setup costs. If you are interested or know of any local businesses who may be interested, please read or pass on our Sponsorship Opportunity Information Pack below
