French

In French, Years 3-6, we learnt about the special ANZAC Day bond between France and Australia. During WWI, Australian and New Zealand military protected a town Villers-Brittonneaux who is forever grateful and holds a dawn ceremony every ANZAC Day.  Students ‘wrote’ French postcards to the mayor of the town expressing their emotions about the war. Merci! Thank you to Sachin, Attavar, 3A who brought in his ANZAC Day medal that he received from his footy club to share in French class!  Students pictured are playing ‘Silent Ball’ with a snowball – they remain in the game if they can say an emotion in French.
