Collaborative Coaching Update
This term, our teachers continue to be engaged in fortnightly Collaborative Coaching sessions. These sessions allow all classroom teachers to assess, plan and reflect writing initiatives for their students.
This week I worked with the Kindergarten teachers to plan some great lessons around introducing punctuation to the students. Capital letters to begin and full stops to end each sentence is the learning goal for these students over the next week.
Over the next few weeks, Year Two will be focussing on "Sizzling Starts" to make their writing more engaging to a reader.
Examples of wonderful student writing can be found in our Student's Corner
Lindfield Mother's Day Competition
Well done to all students who created an artwork to enter into the Lindfield Mother's Day Competition. Mothers are always beautiful, and the students captured this perfectly in a variety of ways.
Congratulations to the following students who received prizes from Lindfield Council and various local businesses.
1st Place - Mackenzie in 1W
2nd Place - Jaslyn in Seniors
3rd Place - Ethan in Seniors
Athletics Carnival Permissions
The students are getting very excited for our annual Athletics Carnival this term. The carnival will be held on Friday 2nd June at Bannockburn Oval. As we get closer to the date, we still are waiting for many parents to register their child's attendance on Compass. Please ring the school office if you have any questions.
Involve - Parent Engagement
Please note that due to illness and teacher shortages, I will not be able to run the Parent Engagement Series for the remainder of this term. A new series of dates and courses will be scheduled for Term Three.
