Flashback to 1999 Athletics Carnival

Some great action shots in the newspaper from the 1999 Athletics Carnival.

Serious competition was the order of the day at the annual Marian College sports carnival in West Sunshine last term.

However, the fun was by no means restricted to conventional track and field events, with a tug-o’-war among one of the most popular and closely-watched events on the program.

Advocate photographer Craig Cahill was on hand to capture the gritty drama of the occasion.
