Winter Sports
Rowville District Winter Sports- Friday 9th June
Our Year 5 and 6 students will be competing this Friday 9th June at the Rowville District Winter Sport competition. We wish our teams the best of luck as they finish off their round robin games and compete in their ‘finals’ games.
Many of our teams have made a tremendous effort on their first day to secure a good spot in the competition and we hope they can come home victorious yet satisfied with their performance at the end of the day.
TIME OF DEPARTURE: Departure for students in the AFL Boys, Soccer and Netball teams will leave at 8:50am sharp. We ask students in AFL Boys and Soccer teams to be at school by 8:00am.
Departure for students participating in Fully Loaded Teeball and Lawn Bowls will leave at 9:15am sharp. We ask students in these teams to be at school by 8:20am.
ST SIMON TEAM UNIFORMS:
NETBALL AND SOCCER TEAM UNIFORM
All students in Boys and Girls Netball and Soccer teams will wear their St Simon jersey and provided shorts in the morning as they arrive at school on Friday 9th June. These uniforms were taken home after the first day of games to be washed and ready for our second day of games this Friday. Students can wear their school jumper, sport top and pants over the tops of the uniform to remain warm.
All students that were provided with knee high white socks need to wear these on the day as well.
AFL BOYS TEAM UNIFORM
All students in AFL Boys teams will need to collect their cleaned St Simon jersey and borrowed shorts from the school atrium in the morning from 8:00am.
A reminder that all boys playing AFL need to bring their mouth guard as this is compulsory to play any of the games. A football helmet is recommended to be worn on the day if your child owns safety during the games.
All students that were provided with knee high white socks need to wear these on the day as well.
DIVISION WINTER SPORT ADVANCEMENT
Any of our teams that are champions or runners up from the District Winter Sport will advance to the Division level of competition. The following dates of this competition if our teams advance to this level are listed below:
