i Sea, i Care: Victorian Marine Ambassadors Program at St Simon’s

World Oceans Day This Thursday 

To support the Dolphin Research Institute, we are celebrating World Oceans Day this Thursday the 8th of June. The United Nations celebrates World Oceans Day, (WOD) every year on the 8th of June. This day reminds us about the important role the ocean has in the lives of ourselves and others.

We are encouraging all students this Thursday the 8th of June to dress up in a costume that relates to the ocean or wear warm comfortable casual clothes for the day. We ask students to bring in a gold coin donation for the Dolphin Research Institute, (DRI). 

During the day, the Prep students will be participating in ocean conservation activities and talks organised by our six Victorian Marine Ambassadors. 

Thank you to  Annabelle Eimermacher, Rohit Khanna, Neisha Beatty and Elijah Roughan, Conor Nyholm and Shanisse Mathes for organising the day and I’m sure it’s going to be a great success.
