Callistemon House

It has been a year full of challenges and surprises and one that has tested each and every one of us. We are incredibly proud of all our students who have risen to the many challenges through the year.

Term 4 has been full of the happy voices of all our students as they returned onsite, reconnecting and learning together once again. The learning gains of all our students is a credit to each of their hard work and determination. It is also due to the efforts of all our teachers who have ensured all students are finding success after a long period of time learning at home.

Messages from our Year 12 Callistemon Leaders

I know this year has been tough, but everyone has got through this situation together. Callistemon House has been supporting all students throughout the year and I cannot be more thankful for the staff and students. Although most of the year has been online learning, I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Callistemon as House Captain and wish the best for everyone. Pranav K – Year 12 Callistemon House Captain

The sense of community within Callistemon has significantly made my high school experience more enjoyable. The physical interactions I had with such a positive cohort was something I missed during the course of remote learning. More than ever, I appreciate the Callistemon staff and students who have supported me in my education and social welfare. Furthermore, I am grateful for the opportunities and leadership roles that allowed me to give back to this wonderful community. In time, I will make it to the 'Callistemon Hall of Fame', and it is certain, I will dearly miss everyone. Dylan T – Year 12 SRC

This year was challenging to say the least, but in our final year of high school, it has allowed us to learn more about ourselves, our capabilities, and our perseverance. It is bittersweet to say goodbye to thirteen years of schooling, but it is not the end. As we embark on the next chapter in our lives, I know Callistemon will continue to be a house with great spirit and excellence. Aparna S – Year 12 Callistemon House Captain

We wish all our students and families a relaxing and well deserved holiday. We thank you for your efforts this year. Each of you has grown not only as a learner, but as a person. We cannot wait to see you all return next year and to see what you will achieve in the future.

Enjoy your holidays from Ms Mason, Mr Beattie, Mr Hanna and Ms Hipwell.
