LRC News
What an extraordinary year it’s been! We’ve faced some weird challenges that sound like plot twists straight out of the library’s dystopian books but as a school community we have come out of this experience so much stronger and with so much to celebrate.
Teen Library Advisor Awards
In the library, our Teen Library Advisory Program continued to shine in Term 4. The highlight was a well-attended lunchtime event in which we paused to recognise the generosity of students who stayed connected and consistently volunteered to help us run the Library throughout the year.
Our award winners this year are:
- TLA of the Year 2020 - Victoria
- Runner-Up - Jasmine
- Runner-Up - Heather
Honourable Mentions went to Hanna, Ruxandra, Steve, Dilani and Special Mentions to Haya, Farzeel, Eva and Trisha.
A huge congratulations to over 40 students who stayed engaged this year. We look forward to working with you again next year and invite other students to join us in 2021. Who knows? You could be the next TLA of the Year!

Summer Borrowing Starts Now!
We invite you to visit the LRC and borrow many books ahead of the Summer break. Remember you can avoid the summer slide in learning which experts say can take your learning back as much as two and half months by relaxing with enjoyable books from the Library.
Remember that our ebooks and audiobooks are always available and you can borrow them at any time, from anywhere, during the holidays.
Join in the Summer Reading Challenge
Find out about our exciting Summer Reading Challenge. You only need to read 4 to 6 books of your choice or tackle the Summer Reading Bingo and we will reward you with a certificate in 2021. More information can be found on our website.
Finally, we wish everyone a wonderful holiday! See you all back at school, happy and safe in 2021!
