Level 3/4
Level 3 & 4 News
It’s time to celebrate! The next 2 weeks are filled with many exciting events as the 2020 school year comes to an end. Christmas Carols have been filmed, preparations are underway for the annual Level 3 & 4 fish and chips picnic lunch, and students are reflecting on their work and throwing themselves into different creative projects with great enthusiasm.
Level 3 students have loved creating and showcasing their Probability Carnival games in the last few weeks!
They are now enjoying their Leisure Land theme park investigation, learning more about budgeting, planning a trip, adding and saving money. In writing, the students have been reflecting on the year, sharing their different experiences from 2020. A massive focus of the last few weeks has been the Djirra Hamper drive. Together, the Level 3 & 4 classes have enthusiastically collected 10 full hampers to support local Indigenous families this Christmas holiday season. Wow! We have been so amazed by everyone’s generosity!
In Level 4, students have been working hard at researching and creating their detailed information reports on historic explorers and navigators! Students have thoroughly enjoyed diving into the exciting history of the Age of Discovery, and learning more about the history of our world and some of the people that mapped it. They will even be building creative models of their explorer’s journey in these final weeks. In Maths, students have been very enthusiastic as they learn about budgeting, sharing and totalling money. They are having great fun organising their orders for our Fish and Chips picnic!
2020 has been a year like no other with challenges and experiences we could have never guessed when we began back in January. We are so incredibly proud of all the students in Level 3 & 4, and the incredible resilience, grit and enthusiasm they have shown in the face of this year’s obstacles. This wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support given at home and throughout the year by our amazing Level 3 & 4 families and community. We can’t thank you enough for everything; you’re all heroes in our eyes!
Wishing you and your families a safe, healthy, restful and fun-filled holiday break, and a more “normal” new year in 2021!
