REMOTE LEARNING INFORMATION
Please take a moment to read the attached below for important information on how remote learning will be managed and College expectations around safe online behaviour.
The College is well placed to be able to pivot to remote teaching for an extended period if need be, which may include remote assessment through portals like Exam.net. We have not made a decision about this yet, but staff are factoring this into their current planning. We will provide an update on this as soon as it is practical.

Intermediate VCAL: a program update
Students are undertaking a subject called Personal Development Skills as part of the Intermediate VCAL program. In this subject, they've been creating and problem-solving their way through various projects around the school. This has allowed them to practise and develop skills in project management, problem-solving and conflict management.
A special thank you to Mr Sprigg and the facilities team for helping to coordinate the space and pull together resources for our students' individual projects and creations.

Basketball Tournament: teachers vs. students
This Monday was the first day of our 6-week Year 12 Basketball Tournament. Round 1 had an incredible atmosphere, with a large amount of spectators present who enjoyed the highly skilled games on show. The rivalry between coaches was intense from the start – Mr Vlahos is seeking revenge against Mr Strachan’s team already.
We look forward to Round 2 once we are back on site at school!

Year 12 Elevate Education: memory and strategies
On Wednesday, Elevate Education came in for the first session of the year for our Year 12 students. The session was focused on ‘memory’, and strategies that students can employ to remember large slabs of content.
We had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from our students, and we're looking forward to having another session with Elevate in term 3, focusing on exam preparation.
