Miss M and Mr Crouch

Year 6’s Burley Sekem Design a jumper competition

As a part of a collaboration between our art and sports program students from Room 1,2,3 and 4 designed a school sports jumper for the 2021 Burley Sekem Design a jumper competition  The winning school will receive a set of jumpers in the winning design made by Burley Sekem.  A big well done to all students who completed their jumper designs, your efforts were absolutely fantastic.

Miss M and Mr Crouch shortlisted 8 jumper designs, before choosing the final 2 artworks to represent our school in the competition.  They would like to highly commend these 8 people who had designs shortlisted:  Room 1: Emmanual and Sarah, Room 2: Rishika and Ali, Room 3: Tim and Kithsalu, and Room 4: Sheandra and Eric.  Your designs were all very creative and we are very proud of your efforts.

Miss M and Mr Crouch have just had the very difficult task of narrowing these fantastic designs from 8 to 2.…Congratulations to Sarah from Room 1 and Tim from Room 3 for creating the designs which will represent our school in the Competition! Your designs were highly creative, and unique.  They showed a thoughtful consideration of our school identity and a strong connection between our school environment, logo, and colour scheme.

Best of Luck in the competition Sarah and Tim!

Tim: “I drew this because it represents my school, local landmarks and the wild animals.”

Sarah: “The Black Swan is there to show W.A native animals.  The water/ river design is to show the Canning River winding around in its mysterious, beautiful way.  Also, the Swans are reaching for their best, perservering and trying again”
