Room 16a

This term, Room 16a, has started doing guided reading groups every Monday and Tuesday morning where we focus on a specific reading strategy. This reading strategy is explicitly taught through a text that we read as a whole class then we move into our small groups. The children take part in oral language/phonics games, small group reading with Mrs Vogels, and independent reading on iPads. 

Room 16b

Room 16b were lucky enough to be invited to Willetton Senior High School to watch a performance of Into The Woods. We really enjoyed walking to the school and meeting all of the characters before we sat in the theatre to watch. The performance was fantastic and we hope that we get invited back again one day!

Room 17

Room 17 has been learning the story of Dogger in Talk for Writing. As part of the writing process, we brought a special toy from home to school. We drew a picture of our toy and wrote descriptive words around the picture. We loved having our toys at school!
