Rowville District Inter School Sports

Winter and Summer Sports

Our Winter Sport days are not far away and our teams are enthusiastically preparing by practicing their skills and team work with their teachers.

On Friday 28th May and Friday 11th June, all Year 5 and 6 students will take part in a Winter sport representing the school against other schools at the designated venues. This is due to our school submitting extra teams to replace other schools who do not have a team in that sport. All year 5 and 6 teachers including other staff will support in supervision of the teams.

We are in need of coaches to support our teams. Some knowledge of the rules of the sport would be beneficial but mainly the role will involve coaching the team and rotating the substitutes equally.

If you can assist our teams with coaching or know of someone who is available to support us in coaching a side on both days, please email Mr Karl Camerino directly. All coaches are required to have a Working With Children Check and have signed a current volunteer Code of Conduct form with our school administration prior to these sport days. This form can be obtained at the front office.

We wish our AFL Girls Football team all the best this Friday as they compete in the Knox Division AFL Girls Championships. A reminder to all girls participating that training will be in the morning on Wednesday 19th May and Thursday 20th May. Training begins at 7:45am.

The invitation for training is also extended to the students selected in the AFL Boys football team.
