Art4All

Art4All – We Need YOU!

Art4All has been one of Fairfield Primary’s biggest and best events for 24 years – and after the bruhaha of 2020, we are so excited to bring it back! This year we celebrate Art4All from Friday 22 – Sunday 24 October.

Art4All is a fantastic weekend of fine art, fab food and family fun! This event is a highlight for the whole community that raises significant funds for our school.

Whether you’re an art lover – or can’t tell a paintbrush from a spade – new to the school – or an old hand, we want you! We have a fabulous volunteering community who help make Art4All a success each year. It’s amazing… and also really fun!

We are super keen for new people, ideas and more assistance. So, what can you do?

  • Come to our first Art4All Committee Meeting on Thursday, 3rd June, 7.30pm in the Art Studio ALL WELCOME!

Have a think about where you’d like to help… Art4All is a big event and there are loads of areas that are sure to pique your interest! In particular we’re after people to coordinate:

  • Food: FPS prides itself on the delicious food we provide at our events. Are there any foodie/hospo/catering geniuses out there that can help us? In the past we’ve had amazing parents (both professional and amateur foodies) take the lead in this area…
  • Art Zone: Organising creative activities for kids on family day, that can be run by parents (like making terrariums, decorating your own pillow-case, making giant bubbles, origami, animation and so much more…). This is a great one for a group of friends to adopt!
  • Gallery or Gallery Shop: the heart of Art4All and all you need are organisation skills and a love of beautiful things!

Other areas you can assist in coordinating:

  • Volunteers
  • Family Day performance
  • Children’s Gallery
  • Community Art Project
  • Art4All t-shirts

Closer to the date, we’ll be asking for volunteers across the Art4All weekend, Friday 22 – Sunday 24 October. From working in the gallery or the gallery shop, to catering, staffing the doors, selling wrist-bands on Family Day and more – we can find just the right job for you! And the best thing is, you’ll get to know other parents in the school and be a part of the warm and fun community for which FPS is known.

If you have questions or ideas or would like to be involved but can’t make the meeting, please contact us (details below). Or talk to Marjie in the Art Room.
