Semester One Reports

As Semester One assessment officially ends for students on Thursday 17 June, the final day of Term 2, the Semester One Reports will be published early in the holiday break. Teachers will be finalising results and assessment for all students on Friday 18 June, which is a student-free day. We are expecting to publish the reports at the end of the day on Tuesday 22 June. All parents and guardians will be emailed once the reports are available for viewing on the Parent Portal, with instructions on how to access them. In the meantime, please make sure you know your login details for the Parent Portal. If you need any login help, please email ITsupport@aitkencollege.edu.au

The Semester One Report will provide you with summary information about your child’s achievement and attitudes to learning in each of their subjects, along with a homeroom teacher’s comment. The report is designed to be read in conjunction with the continuous feedback provided to parents and students via My Aitken.

As students complete end of semester assignments, tests and exams in the coming days, you can expect to see many new pieces of assessment feedback being published on My Aitken. Please try to take some time to look over them so that you are well informed about what your children are learning and how they could be trying to improve in future tasks. There may be some minor adjustments to the format or content of assessment tasks still to be completed this term, due to the Home Learning arrangements. Teachers will be communicating all expectations to students during Zoom lessons and in the My Aitken tasks they are setting.

Our next round of Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 3 August between 3:30pm and 6pm, and on Thursday 12 August between 3:30pm and 8pm, which will provide an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress with his or her teachers, via Zoom. I encourage you all to keep at least one of these evenings free so that you can attend. Information about booking Parent Teacher Interview times will be emailed to all parents early in Term 3.

Please feel free to contact your child’s teachers at any time if you are concerned about how things are going.
