STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Students who know that they are unable to attend any Examination must see the Leader of Curriculum before the Examination period and make alternative arrangements. Included in this procedure is the completion of the Illness/ Misadventure Extension Form. Failure to attend an examination will automatically result in a ZERO being awarded for that paper unless prior alternative arrangements have been made.
Students who are sick on the day of an Examination must ring the school before the commencement of the Examination. They are also required to complete an Illness/ Misadventure Extension Form and attach, to that form, medical evidence of their illness. Failure to attend an Examination will automatically result in a ZERO being awarded for that paper, unless the school has been contacted.
Students are required to be in attendance at least 10 - 15 minutes prior to the commencement of each Examination. Note carefully the starting and finishing times of each Examination. You will not need to go to Homegroup. Attendance will be recorded in the exam venue.
Students are responsible for correctly reading their Examination timetable.
Students will not be permitted to leave an Examination early.
Students are not required to be at school during the Examination period unless they are scheduled for an Examination.
Students are to wear the correct school uniform at all times during the Examination period.
There is to be no talking or other communication between students in the Examination room.
Writing paper, graph paper and manuscript will be provided for students. Students are expected to provide all other requirements such as pens, pencils, calculator, eraser, ruler, stapler, etc. These must comply with BOSTES regulations.
Students are not permitted to take any materials into the Examination room unless specified for use in the Examination. This includes mobile phones, and any other electronic device.
Students will not be permitted to borrow equipment during the Examination.
Students must provide a calculator or that is in good working order for subjects that require the use of a calculator. Equipment failure is not a sufficient reason for borrowing of equipment.
Any equipment brought into the Examination room will be subject to inspection before the Examination commences.
Students are not permitted to bring food or drink into the Examination room. The only exceptions to this are clear bottled water.
Students will not be allowed to go to the toilet in the first 15 minutes or last 15 minutes of the exam.

What you cannot bring into your exam room

A mobile phone. Mobile phones are not permitted in an exam room under any circumstances.
A programmable watch, eg a smart watch.
Any electronic device (except a calculator where permitted). This includes mobile phones or other communication devices, organisers, tablets (eg iPads), music players or electronic dictionaries.
Paper or any printed or written material. You can ask your presiding officer for working paper.
Print dictionaries, except where permitted in language exams.
Correction fluid.
You are not allowed to borrow equipment during exams.

Year 11 2021 Update

Thanks to all students and families that have taken time to engage in Stage 6 subject preference discussions regarding course selection for next year. We will collate the data from the student subject selection submissions. If any students and families have any questions please contact the school office and arrange a meeting with Peter Hunt.

Year 9 2021 Elective Subjects

A reminder that the 2020 Year 9 Electives subjects information handbook will be shared with all of the Year 8 students via email early next week. Elective subject information seminars will also be held during Week 4 to assist students develop their understanding of each of the electives offered. To ensure students select appropriate subjects, time should be taken to read the Subject Handbook and engage in the seminars. Students should consider elective subjects based on interest and ability. The online selection form will be shared with students on Tuesday,11th August and will be due for submission by Friday, 14th August (Week 4).
