The Mentalicious Mental Health Short Film Competition for Students, run by ProPsych, has judged all entries for 2020 and one of our Year 11 students, Jake Oliver, was listed as a finalist in the Years 10-12 category. His five minute film was called 'Bottled Up' and addressed the issue of teenage mental health and the importance of seeking help when you need it. A central metaphor in the film was a soft drink bottle representing some of the pressures faced by teenagers and how fragile that can make them.
Jake wrote, recorded and edited the short film in Term One, just before the COVID lockdown. Well done to Jake on this great effort.
