Chess Round 3 - Remotely

Round three of the NSW Junior Chess Competition was completed this week with Kildare playing against Murrumbidgee Regional High School, Griffith online. COVID sent all games online and this gave a new challenge for the team to overcome. After two rounds completed and the Kildare team not conceding a single match, round three challenged all of the players. With three of the games taking over an hour to complete, the team held out to win round three. The final result was 1 win, 1 loss and 2 stalemates. On board count-back Kildare moves through on a score of 1 ½  - ½.
