Hope at the end of the Rainbow

Hope at the End of the Rainbow

Just the thought of a ‘rainbow’ puts a smile on our face. It brings creativity and positivity all around.

You might have noticed a handmade motif brightening your neighborhood windows in recent months. Children’s painted rainbows have been popping up in windows across the world, as schools close and households observe social-distancing rules. Children can count them as they walk by, enjoying a sense of community at a time when they cannot see their friends or visit playgrounds, and perhaps gleaning hope of a brighter time once the pandemic storm passes

Rainbows are a symbol of hope in many cultures and a sign of hope and promise of better times to come. This spectacular

rainbow was captured over Great Ryrie in all its' glory. Let’s hope it’s a sign of good things to come.

Hopefully the pot of gold is in Mrs Rouda's or Miss Robert's offices.

Home Learning Heroes

The Home Learning Heroes this week are highlighted in our Performing Arts' Page.

The families of Great Ryrie have entertained us with their dance moves, enlightened us with their fun and frivolity taking the COVID blues away. Thanks everyone for your spectacular performances and to the amazing Mrs Murray, for editing and creating this fantastic video.

Foundation 2021

Welcome to our new families who may be tuning into our newsletter over the next few weeks, with enrollment confirmations sent and accepted. We look forward to a long and supportive relationship with your family and hoping to meet you in person in Term 4. Welcome to the siblings of our current families, who have been looking forward to school for so long as they have waved goodbye to their older brothers and sisters at the gate.

It has been a difficult task for families to choose a school without the normal school tours operating during COVID. Melissa and I have been running zoom meetings twice a week, to meet our new families and attempting to try and encapsulate the essence of our wonderful school and community online.

Here are some photos of one of our gorgeous Foundation students in 2021 working hard at Home Kinder.

Charlie you are a superstar and we will be so excited to see you in 2021, as a student at GRPS.
