White Card Training for VET Students

White Card Competency

Twenty ASC students can now add the White Card to their list of qualifications after successfully completing a full-day General Induction Training - White Card workshop offered by the TAS Faculty.

Mr Elbourne covered all facets under the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Induction, to ensure students obtained a real-world understanding of the importance of adhering to safe work practices. 

The White Card is a valuable qualification to add to a resume when applying for industry-based employment. It can also be used when students are at a job-site to fulfill the practical requirements for VET Construction Studies or during Work Experience; where it can be requested by NSW Workcover conducting WHS checks.

Students who completed the competency requirements can expect to receive a wallet-sized card in the coming weeks. It remains with students throughout their schooling and future working careers.
