Stage 4

The beginning of Term 3 has seen some great achievements by students in Stage 4. We welcomed our first 'hot chockers' to Hot Choc Friday - Aaliyah Bunagan and Kory Ponsaing in Year 7; Leilani Simon and Steven Rees in Year 8. It's wonderful to see students recognised for going 'above and beyond' in demonstrating our core values at ASC.

I have also had reports of students across the stage consistently doing their best in class. I had the privilege of visiting some classes last week and bore witness to this. It was most encouraging to see students in action as they worked through the interesting lessons planned and delivered by their teachers.

This week is Education Week and Stage 4 are recognising great learning and teaching. We have three awards running -

  • Super Students (nominated by teachers),
  • Positive Peers (nominated by students), and
  • Top Teachers (nominated by students and parents/carers).

At ASC, we are using the ‘Learning Disposition Wheel’ as the foundation of our learning programmes to build the Cognitive, Intrapersonal and Interpersonal skills, or ‘dispositions’, needed for learning and living. Nominations for our Stage 4 Education Week awards are based on how students and staff are demonstrating the learning dispositions. We are looking forward to presenting certificates at the end of the week.
