Millicent in Prep A

Millicent has been a Remote Superstar because she is a respectful listener during our Webex Check-ins. She shows that she is interested in what others say by raising her hand to ask questions or to make connections.

Flynn in Prep B

Flynn has demonstrated our school value of Learning by showing his younger brother his great reading strategies. Flynn has been challenging himself to read lots of books and loves sharing his knowledge with his brothers! 

Maithili in Prep C

Maithili has displayed our school value of Learning by taking her time with her work and trying her best. Maithili enjoys participating in Creative Time where she can draw and make things using her imagination. Well done, Maithili!

Lola in Prep D

Lola has been a Remote Superstar in Prep D by reflecting on her first 100 days of school in Prep. Lola shared that she has learnt how to follow the directions of the teachers. Well done Lola for learning our school's number one of the Big 10!

Meet in Prep E

Meet has been a Remote Superstar with his creativity with home resources to make fantastic models for our weekly research topic. He has helped inspire Prep E with his innovative and well thought out models. Meet’s passion for creative time has been inspiring to his peers. Well done, Meet!

Andy in Prep F

Andy has demonstrated the value of Community by always listening carefully to his friends and saying kind words of encouragement during our Webex check-ins. He also encourages his parents to be involved with his creative time activities, allowing them both have a break from work and celebrate the remote learning experience together. Well done Andy!

Asher in 1A

Asher in 1A is a remote learning superstar because she’s been trying her best at home every day! She’s been challenging herself to write a whole page in her writing. She also brightens up our class check-ins by showing us her bunny Hop Hop. 

Henry in 1B

Henry demonstrated the school value of Character by showing

perseverance when practising his High Frequency Words, both at

home and on WebEx with Miss Megan. Keep up the great work,

Moudi in 1C

Moudi has demonstrated the value of Learning this week by finding new and interesting ways to complete his work at home so that he can achieve success. He has found different features on his iPad to help complete his writing work so that he can achieve his best, even when it is challenging. Moudi also enjoys the lessons where he can be extra creative, such as making finger puppets or sea creatures out of recycled materials from his home.

Brendan in 1D

This week, Brendan has demonstrated the value of Learning by facing challenges with a positive attitude. He made this guitar out of objects from around his house and shared it on Webex with the class! 

Rayleigh in 1E

Rayleigh has been a remote learning superstar this week for being creative and creating his very own musical instrument with household objects. 

Adam in 1F

For being very creative by using materials around the house make a musical instrument. 

Aodhan in 2A

Aodhan has been a Remote Superstar because he always participates in our class Webex respectfully. He ensures he waits his turn to speak and acknowledges the comments of others using positive body language such as smiling and nodding. 

Iliya in 2B

Iliya has demonstrated the value of Character by always approaching his learning and new challenges with a growth mindset. He is always eager to learn more about the world around him and enthusiastically shares this knowledge with his class.

Navya in 2C

Navya has demonstrated the value of Learning by using Miss Cass’ healthy tips and creating healthy meals she can have to stay fit and strong! Navya loves to cook and enjoys sharing her creations with others. 

Hendrix in 2D

Hendrix is new to our SMPS team this term and has settled in like he’s always been here! Being new has meant that Hendrix has had a lot of extra learning – learning people’s names, the structure of our day, our programs and more. He gives all new experiences a go and reaches out when he needs help. He makes sure to log on to Webex to connect with 2D every day, where he always actively listens and contributes his thoughts in a mature manner. We love his attitude and having him at SMPS!

Isabel in 3/4 A

Isabel has started and ended each day with a bright smile. She has completed all work set and loves to receive feedback on her work to improve- she has even sought out feedback by directly asking for it. Isabel has positively contributed to Show and Tell and games during the Webex check-ins. We love to hear about her walks with her Mum and dog Billy. She has been able to both share positive feedback on her friends' work and suggest improvements. Isabel has a thirst for learning and growing. This is why she is the Grade 3/4A Remote Learning Superstar this week.

Sophia in 3/4 B

Sophia has been demonstrating our school value of Character by persevering with the challenges of online learning. Sophia is always striving to learn new technology skills and isn’t afraid to ask for help. 

Julian in 3/4C

Julian has been a Remote Superstar because he has demonstrated our school value of learning by being curious, creative and by asking questions. It is lovely to see how quickly and seamlessly he has settled in SMPS this term.

Samanvi in Grade 5

Samanvi shows exceptional dedication towards her work. She continuously seeks thorough advice and feedback. Samanvi reviews feedback with care and works hard to ensure she makes improvements. She even chases the teacher up if I haven’t given her feedback yet! Samanvi has proactively emailed and called me over Teams to organise a meeting so that I can model explicitly how to improve her news reports. She is so determined!

Grade 6 - Missing (Kelly Hatfield)

Diego has been a remote learning superstar by finding inventive ways to spend his creative time. Last term he made sock puppets, this term he has been rewarded with a coding certificate from Scratch by working hard and putting in the time to practise his skills. He has created some awesome games and animation. Here is one of my favourites from Diego: Snake Game
