Doctors in Schools Service

The community at Greater Shepparton Secondary College is very excited to welcome the Doctors in Schools Service (DISS) to our schools, it will be based at the McGuire College Campus.

DISS had been part of the Shepparton High School and McGuire College programs for some time and we are very happy that they will begin working again at the McGuire Campus.

Shepparton Medical Centre have partnered with Greater Shepparton Secondary College to have a GP consulting from the built for purpose Doctors Surgery at the McGuire Campus on a fortnightly basis, beginning on Tuesday 28th July 9:30am to 12:30pm.

The DISS objectives are to make primary health care more available to students, provide assistance to young people to identify and address any health problems early and to reduce the pressure on working parents.

All students have access to the DISS and we encourage students to speak to and seek support from their parents or guardians around health and well being concerns.

Parents can visit the DISS with their student for an arranged appointment.

To book an appointment contact Leanne Cotsopoulos in the McGuire College General Office 5858 9800.  We are also in the process of establishing an online booking platform.
