A number of our ensembles, including our Year 7 Training Band, have started up this week, albeit, in very different circumstances. After reviewing reports regarding rehearsals during the pandemic, we have implemented social distancing in rehearsals, rehearsal lengths of 60 minutes or less and thorough cleaning and hygiene measures for each individual musician, depending on what instrument they play. We are still waiting on some more advice regarding Vocal Ensembles, which I will hopefully be able to update in the next newsletter.

Unfortunately, we can not run our mid level band on Wednesday afternoons at Mooroopna until we can find a rehearsal space large enough to ensure everyone can be spaced far enough apart. The rehearsals that have commenced during Term 3 are as follows:

McGuire 

Training Band - Tuesdays after school until 4.30pm

Year 7 Rock Band – Wednesday lunchtime

Marimba Ensemble – Wednesday lunchtime

Mooroopna 

Stage Band - Wednesdays until 4.30pm

String Ensemble – Thursday lunchtime

Wanganui 

Symphonic Band - Mondays until 4.30pm

Stage Band - Tuesday until 4.30pm

String Ensemble - Thursday lunchtime
