Lake Illawarra High School has a Student News Team!
Students from Years 7 - 12 have volunteered their free time to be a part of the LIHS Student News Team. Team Captains, Tori Henderson (Year 7) and Chae Conte (Year 7), are working hard and running meetings to organise a print newspaper and video news. Katie Brown has also been making waves with her amazing artworks and graphic designs. All other members of the Student News Team are committing their lunchtimes and composing articles and offering innovative new ideas for student news. A huge congratulations to all students in the news team for their efforts this term.

7S Poetry
7S English have been working hard and have composed beautiful poems this term. Their poems, about important objects in their lives, are being turned into artworks. The intention was for students to create a poem and present it in a unique and thoughtful display. Ms McLoughlin chose the theme 'Hidden Poetry' for 7S English. Students have hidden their poetry in cardboard displays, on old lampshades and footballs, and more!
Students will be displaying their work at the Lake Illawarra High School 'Hidden Poetry Exhibition' event which will run next term.
