Band on Tour

On Thursday the 26th we walked over to Sacred Heart and performed to the prep to six school. We played great considering we didn't have a drummer! We all looked stunning with our band shirts and badges. All of the kids enjoyed the session, especially when when we played power rock! Overall the senior band loved performing to the teachers and students at Sacred Heart as much as they enjoyed listening to some new and some familiar songs.

On Tuesday the 24th Trinity's Concert Band went to Apollo Bay to play our instruments with the Apollo Bay school band.

Going to Apollo Bay to play with their schools band was an amazing experience and was great to learn new things.

When we arrived we crammed everyone into a small room with our chairs, stands and instruments. Together, we played lots of songs, some we knew and some we had only just been introduced to.

We saw a lot of different instruments there compared to our school band. They even had guitars and a percussion section.

We practiced for a few hours then had an amazing morning tea supplied by the school staff and students. They had fantastic muffins, small cakes, brownies, coconut slice, sandwiches and a great little fruit platter. It was all extremely delicious.

We met some of the people from the band and talked about the instruments we played. Later on in the day we performed the music we prepared for their year preps to eights. I reckon they enjoyed all of the songs we played for them. Overall it was a really fun day and I had a great time talking and making music with them.
