Masses and Liturgies
2M lead a beautiful Liturgy on Friday 13 May with the theme of Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
4G celebrated Mass last Friday which centered on the theme of Jesus' new commandment, 'Love another as I have loved you.'
Year 10 Mass
Year 10 will lead the Stage 5 Mass on Friday 3 June at 9:15am. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the Mass at Sacred Heart Church.
Confirmation
This Sunday 29 May, 27 students will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confimation. Please continue to pray for these students as they prepare for the Sacrament.
Recycling
Pope Francis has called us all to be Stewards of the Earth, and recycling is a way we can do this. We are being asked to recycle empty medication blister packs. As these are a mix of foil and plastic, they cannot go into our regular recycling, but can be recycled by specialist centres. The school and parish have collection boxes for these medication blister packs so families can bring them in for specialist recycling. Something little to make a difference!
Christian Living Days
- Year 5 and 6
Students from Year 5 and 6 have taken part in the Christian Living Days run by the Lasallian team from Sydney and Armidale.
Year 6 had a day around the Sacrament of Confirmation - 'Receive the Power.' The day provided students with positive experiences and tools to allow them to “Receive the Power” of the Holy Spirit and all the gifts that are given to them by God.
The Year 5 CLD was titled 'I am courageous.' The day was aimed at motivating and inspiring students to acknowledge their inner courage, the different types of courage and enable them tostep up to use this courage for themselves and their peers.
