Incursions and Excursions

In the last few weeks, we have had students participating in a range of incursions and excursions. We had some tired Foundation students after visiting the Melbourne Museum last week. Grade 1/2's had a visit from the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage group for their Inquiry and Reconciliation week. We have also had our grade 4's participating in a Mindful Breathing program for the last few weeks.

It has been great to have students and staff being able to participate in additional activities that support their learning.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN was completed for another year. Well done to all the Grade 3 and 5 students who did a fantastic job completing the test online this year. We were so impressed by the students' confidence and resilience and express our gratitude to our staff for providing students with support to do their best. Families will receive results from the test in late August.

Semester one reports

Teachers are currently busy completing assessments and preparing for semester one reporting. In the final week of term, you will be able to access your child's semester one report on Compass, with parent-teacher interviews held at the beginning of term three.

George st Crossing

As we have all moved across to the George st site, there has been an increase in traffic during after school pick up time at the George st crossing. Napier st is also available for pick up and drop off. We understand it is difficult to drop off students around the school, and we are in contact with Yarra City Council to see if this can be improved. Please continue to drive with care and watch for pedestrians and bikes on and around the road.

COVID

As COVID is still around, it's a good time to remind families to continue to test twice a week. Rapid Antigen tests have been supplied to all students.

At school, air purifiers are located in all rooms throughout the building. The windows are open when the weather allows it. We are continuing to encourage all students to maintain good hygiene by washing hands and sanitising. Disposable masks are also available for students if requested.

If your child has any symptoms or feels unwell, please keep them at home and test.
