NEW - Office Hours

During the Isolation period St Mary's Office office hours have been adjusted. 

Until further notice the office will be open between the following hours 8.30am - 4.00pm 

UPDATED REMINDER - Camps Sports & Excursion Fund

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like:

  • school camps or trips
  • swimming and school-organised sport programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • excursions and incursions.

All families who may have recently acquired a valid Health Care Card maybe eligible for CSEF. 

Families who have not received CSEF in the past but may now have a current Health Care Card are asked to bring a copy of their card into the office for application process to begin, or email a copy (maybe a photo), to office@smmooroopna.catholic.edu.au an application will be made on your behalf (and we will fill in the form for later signing).  Alternatively, the attached form can be handed in at the school office.

A copy of the Health Care Card must also be provided.

NEW - 2021 Prep Enrolment Applications St Mary's

Families with a prep student for 2021 are advised enrolment information packs are now available from the school office.  

Please either call into the office to collect or contact the office on 58252858 to arrange for it to be sent vi email or post. 

NEW - 2021 Notre Dame Enrolments

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Notre Dame has cancelled their annual Open Day.  The enrolment process for Year 7, 2021 has now changed to accommodate this.

Applications for Enrolment, Prospectus and Supporting Documentation will be available for download/printing via the college website - www.notredame.vic.edu.au

A table will also be set up out the front of  the Main Reception at Knight Street for people who wish to obtain a printed Enrolment Pack and a limited number of copies are available from St Mary's Office. 

Applications close Monday 1st June, please ensure you provide all requested supporting documents. 

NEW - 2021 St Anne's Kialla Enrolment Application

In 2021 St Anne's will offer the following Levels - Foundation - One - Two - Seven  - Eight - Nine

Enrolment applications can be made for 2021 and beyond by completing the application form on their website.

  • Complete the Enrolment Application form on the College website
  • Enrolment applications for 2021 close 8 May 2020.
  • Offer of enrolments are emailed on 15 May 2020

Successful applicants complete Enrolment Form, provide all documentation and pay a non-refundable application fee.

 

2021 Enrolment applications are finalised by 12 June 2020

NEW - GSSC 2021 Enrolments Information

 GSSC Transition Information Pack includes the Application Form for Year 7 Placement 2021 and is also available at Dept. of Education & Training (DET) Moving from primary to secondary school: information for parents then click “Moving from a private primary school to a government secondary school”

Due to the current covid-19 situation GSSC haven’t been able to schedule on-site Information Sessions and Campus visits, but will be hosting a series of virtual open nights with the first one being scheduled for 7pm on Tuesday May 12th. Please join us on “Teams” at https://live.gssc.vic.edu.au

NEW - NCCD Information Sheet for Parents, Carers and Guardians

What is the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data?

Schools must now complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) every year. It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps governments plan for the needs of students with disability.

UPDATED - Student Medical profile / Absences

Care Monkey has been turned off, all student medical information and permission notes  will now be collected and sent out through PAM. 

Absent notes can also be submitted through PAM.

 

If you have not already done so, we ask all families to update their students medical profile through PAM by clicking the "red bell" in the top right hand corner of the home page. 

We encourage any updates to emergency contact details to be made through the office. 

REMINDER - Secondhand Uniforms

There are a large number of secondhand uniforms available in the office with heaps on donations having come in over the last couple of weeks - we ask a $5 donation per piece.

Come and see what's available in your children's sizes!

 

A reminder - when we return to school, winter uniform will be in place and hats will not be required.

Student Residential Address & Other Information Collection Notice

We have been notified by the Australian Government of the requirement  of our school to provide 'a Statement of Addresses' for each student enroled in our school. 

A Statement of Addresses will include the following information on all students - 

  • Students residential address
  • Student level of education
  • Names & residential adresses of students parent(s) and/or guardians

For further Information regarding this notification please read the attached notice.

 

Working With Children Check

Parents or family members who wish to help out in the classrooms or on excursions are required to have an up to date Working With Children's Card. These can be applied for online and there is no cost if you are a volunteer.  A copy of this needs to be passed onto the office.

A reminder to notify the school office with any changes or updates to your Working With Children Check.

Medication

Families are reminded to please ensure they provide up to date medical plans and necessary in date medications to the office.  If you have provided medication to the office in the past, please contact the office to ensure this medication is still valid and in date.

Parents are reminded that all non prescription medication to be administered at school or on camp or excursions, requires a pharmaceutical label detailing student name and dosage. A signed authority to administer medication form is also required, a copy of this is located below.

Local Town Bus fares

The following fares will apply for students travelling on the Mooroopna Town School Buses. It would be appreciated if students can have the correct fare to present to driver when travelling.

Single Travel - $1.20

Daily - $2.40

Weekly - $11.20
