Where did you work prior to joining Wantirna College?

Part time employee over at Woolworths.

What attracted you to your current position at Wantirna College?

I was attracted to becoming a Data Manager after hearing about the role from my brother, who was the Data Manager prior to me. I felt that this role would be a good way to enter into the public sector IT space without requiring a full time commitment, something which would have been hard for me as a university student. I feel that being passionate about your job can greatly increase job satisfaction and I'm happy to say that I'm very happy and focused in my position.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

As a total tech nerd I enjoy upgrading or improving old computer models and designing and building servers from the ground up. I particularly enjoy being able to go from a basic computer to a fully functioning server capable of running complex tasks.

How long have you been in your current position?

I've just started my position as Data Manager this year, however I have done a number of IT projects in my spare time which heavily involve database design and other skills I utilise as part of my role here.

What is your favourite book or movie?

Favourite book is 1984 by George Orwell.  Favourite movie would of course be Star Wars.
