Week 6
I have to say I enjoy this time of year. The cool morning air and frosty ground being slowly warmed by the gentle and almost therapeutic effect of the sunshine. We have reached a milestone of Term 2 - Week 5. We are halfway through a term that many thought would not happen. How quickly things can change, in this case, for the better. While incursions and excursions have not been occurring, there has still been a positive atmosphere around the staff and students.
I was excited this week to see the Year 4 students lead assembly. This was a terrific occasion as we move further into introducing more and more activities and events for the students. While incursions and excursions are still no longer possible it is great to have students gathered, singing and strengthening our school community. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the classes for the wonderful way they have worn their uniform over the past two weeks. Special recognition needs to go to the Year 3 class for taking out the Uniform Award. Well done Year 3s.
During the week, Mr Schulz and the Primary House Captains organised a soccer competition for students. It was hard fought over 2 days, with Angas the eventual victors. I would like to congratulate those involved for putting on a wonderful spectacle of sport, fun and unity. I am anticipating another wonderful team atmosphere during the next sporting event, stay tuned for that. Please enjoy the photos from the event.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr Alex Penny (Primary Music Teacher) and his wife on the safe arrival of their baby boy, Kai.
I trust you will enjoy the long weekend. I pray for God’s protection over you and your family as you spend time together.
