Nursery 2

Pyjama day and simultaneous story time
The last two weeks were elaborated by the events "Pyjama day" and the "Simultaneous story time".
Pyjama day won a great response from the families and the educators. Everybody enjoyed a relaxed day with their favourite cosy pyjamas on. In nursery 2, we gathered-up in a circle in the cot room before our afternoon nap time and enjoyed some lullaby s.
National Simultaneous Story time(NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Nursery 2 children joined the older children for this special story time. They loved watching the story "Chicken Divas" been read in the TV.
Reconciliation week 2020
In this together......!!
It has been 20 years now since Australia has been working towards to be a reconciled nation. To take part in the Reconciliation week 2020, Nursery 2 staff continue to introduce the indigenous cultures, beliefs and values to the program, by mingling them up with the childrens' favourite activities such as song time, painting and out door play.
The following video "Inanay Gupuwana" was created to pay our respect to the indigenous people and also to depict that we embrace and adore their culture.
