Solos & Chambers 

On Tuesday 6th September, the GSSC Instrumental Music Program presented our second Solos and Chamber Night for the year. The night ended up taking place in two rooms, the Theatrette and the Band Room, because we had so many students signed up to perform.

It was fantastic to see so many friends and family members come along to support the students and they were thoroughly entertained by the performances. Well done to all the students who performed, our Music Leaders, Steph Ludlow, Josh Mansur and Kesalini Muli, who emceed the night and all of the staff who prepared the students to perform.

Term 4 Performances

These are the events we currently know about taking place in Term 4.  More will be added as they arise:

• Thursday 10th November – Cushion Concert at Eastbank
• Nov 14-17 (dates TBC) – Victorian Schools Music Festival at Hawthorn Arts Centre
• Tuesday 29th November – Solos & Chamber Night

Do you want to learn an instrument?

It is never too late to start learning a musical instrument and we have a number available to hire at school. In particular, we currently have plenty of French Horns, Trombones and Tubas available. If you would like more information, see one of the music staff on level 1 of the Enterprise building.
