Year 7 Humanities

A number of Year 7 classes attended an Archaeology Incursion on Campus earlier this week, focusing on Ancient Egyptian artefacts. Many thanks to Egyptian expert Dr Heba Abd el Gawad who was on-site to lead students through a number of engaging and hands on learning experiences.

As a continuation on from the lesson, a smaller group of students will now work on a project called ‘Our Story in a Box,’ which involves the creation of boxes that hold modern artefacts from the Goulburn Valley. This idea was first explored at Mooroopna Secondary College a few year ago and the students’ story box travelled as far as the Dubai Expo and to Cairo!
