Body Kind Youth Survey
Student Voices Can Make a Difference
The Butterfly Foundation is inviting all young people aged 12 - 18 years to have their voices heard about body image. This is a chance to complete the first national survey on body image, the Body Kind Youth Survey, so Butterfly can better understand the body image experiences of young Australians, get young people's views on what needs to change to create a more Body Kind Australia and advocate to the top levels of Government.
The online survey is voluntary, anonymous, has ethics approval, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and requires parental consent for under 15's. Help Butterfly help more young people to be kinder to their body and encourage your child to participate.
They can enter the draw to win a gift voucher when they participate. Survey information, including consent procedures for under 15s, is provided on the Body Kind Youth Survey webpage and within the survey
The survey has been developed by Butterfly Foundation, with leading body image researchers and educators. The survey has ethics approval and does not ask questions relating to harmful behaviours or eating disorders. If you would like to participate you can access the survey here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/bkyouth22
This inaugural survey, proudly supported by the NIB foundation, is one which Butterfly expects to continue in years to come. The first-year respondents will lay the foundations, providing an understanding of the experiences of young people so that Butterfly can support schools more effectively.
