Outstanding Alumna Awards

On Tuesday 23 August Genazzano hosted the annual Outstanding Alumnae Awards Evening at the College. This special event allowed the Genazzano community to celebrate the life and contributions our 2022 Outstanding Alumna, Dr Philomene Joshua Tenni.
Dr Philomene was a selfless and devoted wife, mother and community advocate within Victoria. As founder of the Caroline Chisholm Society, Philomene dedicated her life to supporting the needs of vulnerable pregnant women and babies. Philomene’s devotion to a lifetime of giving to others is a true testament to her strength and passion for life, love of learning and service of others. The College is honoured to acknowledge her contribution to society and to helping women and children in need.
We thank Philomene's daughter, Anne-Marie and granddaughter, Erica (also both alumnae) for accepting this award on Philomene's behalf.
The following day, on Wednesday 24 August we acknowledged Philomene at a College Assembly, with students hearing from guest speaker, Jennifer Weber, CEO of the Caroline Chisholm Society. Jennifer spoke about the vision of the Society and how they use technology, knowledge, communication and resources to positively impact the lives of thousands of Australian women, babies and families.
