Wellbeing & RE News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Wellbeing News

Are you OK Day on Thursday 8th of September.

We opened the Multipurpose Room  from 8.30am - 10.30am for parents, grandparents & friends of our Sacred Heart community to come along to enjoy morning tea, a cuppa and a chat with those in our Sacred Heart community.

There are 4 steps to start a conversation to check in on people, this can happen any day!

 1.  Ask are you OK?   2. Listen   3. Encourage action  4. Check in again.

Students also learned about how to ask their friends if they are ok during assembly, where members of the SRT provided some suggestions and showed ways to start the conversation.

RE News

Confirmation

There are 5 students in Grade 5 that will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on the evening of Friday 9th of September 2022.  Most Reverend Bishop Terry Curtin visited all the students in Grade 4-6 on Wednesday. Please keep Zane, Ethan, Jaxon, Michael and Amelia in your prayers as they prepare for this special Sacrament.

Reconciliation

A letter was sent out on Wednesday asking parents of Grade 3 students, that are baptised Catholics, if they would like their child to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation next term.  As we need to order sacramental stoles, we ask that the form be returned before the end of next week.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Take Care,
