Dear Parents/Carers/Music Students, 

Performances/Concert

Our instrumental music students have been invited to perform at the Art Exhibition held on Thursday 13th October 2022. This is week 2 in term 4. The exhibition commences at 6pm in the Art Building.

Details for our music students:

• Students in our String Ensemble will feature from 6pm in A1. They will play till 6.15pm. 
• Our guitar ensemble will play from 6.15-6.30pm in A4. 
• VCE music students will feature and play between 6.30-7pm in the Gallery. 
• At 7pm all ensembles including our intermediate concert band, string ensemble, rock band, VCE music students, small group items and soloists will feature outside the Amphitheatre. 

It has been a real pleasure watching our musicians develop over the year. They are all excited and ready to perform. The evening will showcase all styles of music. I hope you can all attend the Art Exhibition and Concert.

Maffra’s Got Talent 

The past 2 weeks have seen 3 heats take place for Maffra’s Got Talent. After seeing all of the performances, I must say there is plenty of talent amongst the students at Maffra SC. We have had a dance group, various singers, rock bands, duos and our guitar ensemble perform to students outside the Amphitheatre. It was great to see so many students and staff in attendance supporting our acts. A special mention to our judges who are doing a great job. The grand finale is next week. We wish all the finalists the best of luck. I can’t wait for MGT in 2023!
