Year 6 Transition and changes to our Student Leadership structure for 2023

The Year 7 and 8 student leaders have been working hard over the last few weeks to review this year’s Student Leadership structure and handbook to encourage more students to get involved in 2023. Changes will include Form Group Leaders in Years 7, 8 and 9 to support the Year Level Leaders.

During Transition day, Year 7 and 8 Student Leaders led information sessions for all 2023 Year 7 students. Any student who missed out on receiving the Year 7 Student Leadership Handbook and Application Form can email Kristen.raine@education.vic.gov.au

2023 School Captains and School Vice-Captains applications now open.

Applications are now open for our 2023 School Captains and School Vice-Captains. Students in Years 10 and 11 who wish to apply for School Captain (2 x Year 12 students) or Vice-Captain (2 x Year 11 students) can collect an application form from the Senior Study Centre, download from the Compass newsfeed or contact Mrs Raine for a copy (email: kristen.raine@education.vic.gov.au)

Applications for School Captain and Vice-Captain are due in Week 1 of Term 4. Then, in the first few weeks of Term 4, applicants will undergo an interview, school speech and endorsement process (including staff/student vote) for School Captains and Vice-Captains to be selected.

Applications for all other student leadership positions will open in Week 4 of Term 4, with the due date for these applications being in Week 6 of Term 4.

Over the past few weeks, our current student leaders have been reviewing this year’s student leadership structure and discussing ways to improve the current structure and application process, with the goal of encouraging more students to get involved in decision-making around our school.
